January arrives, the erstwhile journey begins,
Dormant ideals rekindled for another year.
Latent memories surface like endogenous shoots,Frenetic actions laced with strenuous endeavour.
Pristine promise stirred by cogent zeal,
Optimism, envigorated, rises then plateaus.
The cacophany of expectation reverberates,
Like tuneless notes jangling through the brain.
Remembered hopes become fragile, then fracture,
Scattering like skittles in playful mindgames.
Indifference overtakes determination, energy dissipates,
Early euphoria unfulfilled, evaporates that unshed tear.
